Cardiothoracic Surgery FTE MD – Emergency Temps (IMLC Accepted)
Position Type: Locum Tenens (1099)
Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery
Start Date: ASAP (Emergency temps available for clean files)
Location: Coon Rapids, Minnesota
License: Minnesota license required or IMLC accepted (willing to license)
Pay: $320–$340 per hour
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1:3 call rotation
- Call weeks include:
- Day shift
- Overnight call (5 PM – 7 AM)
- Weekend 24-hour call
Priority Coverage Weeks
- March 16–22
- March 30 – April 5
- April 20–26
- May 4–10
Facility
- Acute Care Hospital
- Level II Trauma Center
Case Mix
Predominantly routine cardiothoracic cases, including:
- CABG and valve procedures
- TAVR / structural heart cases
- Aortic aneurysms and dissections
- Cardiac valve repair and replacement
- Atrial fibrillation surgery
- Carotid endarterectomy
- Thoracoscopic and minimally invasive cardiac surgery
- LVAD procedures
- Pacemaker procedures
- Esophageal surgery (minimally invasive)
Approximate Annual Volumes
- CABG / Valves: ~250
- TAVR: ~200
- Structural clips: ~100
- Lead extractions: ~35
Note: Oncology lung cases handled at another facility. No electrophysiology cases.
