We are seeking a Locum Tenens Physician in Connecticut.
Locum Tenens Physician – Cardiothoracic Surgery

Shift: Varied (M–F 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM + call)
Start Date: February/March 2026
End Date: 3–6 months (with potential extension)
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Setting: Hospital-Based (Inpatient, OR, ICU, ER rounding, floor coverage)
Responsibilities: Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery coverage including OR, ICU, ER and floor rounding, weekday coverage with night and weekend call
Required Procedures: Descending aortic aneurysms, CABG (on- and off-pump), arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, tube thoracostomy, pericardial window, thoracic aortic aneurysms, heart valve repair/replacement, CoreValve® system, mitral valve repair
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Full complement
Days Per Month: Not specified
On-Call/Weekends: Night and weekend call rotation (approximately 7–8 calls per month)
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Connecticut medical license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- NPDB Self-Query (pulled within the last month)
