Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeons for urgent and upcoming coverage needs. This is a high-volume, well-supported program with a predominance of routine cardiothoracic cases and advanced structural heart exposure.
Ideal Start Date: January 1, 2026 (flexible)
Credentialing Committee Review: January 5, 2026
Job Responsibilities
Core Surgical Volume:
CABG / Valve Procedures: ~250 annually
Standby/Structural Heart Volume:
TAVR: ~200
Structural Clips: ~100
Lead Extractions: ~35
Predominantly Routine Cases: CABG, valve repair/replacement, and core cardiothoracic procedures
Qualifications
Minnesota License OR IMLC required
Clean background for emergency credentialing
Ideal Candidate Profile
Board eligible or board certified cardiothoracic surgeon
Proficient in cardiothoracic and vascular procedures
Flexible skill set across routine and complex cases
Comfortable in high-volume clinical environments
Working Hours
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Call Rotation: 1 in 3 weeks
Call Includes:
Day shift
Overnight call (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Weekend 24-hour call

No Electrophysiology (EP) cases
