🏥 Practice Setting
- Inpatient / Hospital-Based
- Average Daily Volume:
- OR: ~2 cases/day
- Rounding: 5–12 patients/day (ICU & floor, including consults)
- Trauma Level: None
- EMR: Cerner
🗓️ Schedule & Coverage
- Weekdays (Mon–Fri): 8–10 hour in-house shifts
- Night Call: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM 🌙
- Weekend Call:
- Friday 6:00 PM – Monday 6:00 AM
- Rounding Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
🫀 Required Procedures
- Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH)
- Retrieval of vascular tissues for bypass conduit
- Chest tube insertions
- First assist in cardiac surgery
👩⚕️ Key Responsibilities
- ICU & floor rounding
- Coordination of care
- First assist in cardiac surgery
- Diagnose & treat illnesses
- Order & interpret diagnostic tests
- Write prescriptions
- Suture removal
✅ Requirements
- NCCPA Certification
- Active New Jersey License or Compact License
- 2–3+ years of cardiac surgery experience
- Fully proficient in EVH
- BLS, ACLS, PA-C
