Locums-to-Perm | Cardiothoracic Surgery | Clinic + Call | Connecticut Why This Role

  • Full-time locums-to-perm opportunity with long-term stability
  • Coverage needed due to LOA and provider departure
  • Potential extension into 2026 with perm hire consideration
Assignment Details Start Feb or March 2026 for a 3–6 month assignment with potential extension Schedule Monday–Friday 6:45a–5p Call nights and weekends approximately 7–8 calls per month Call shared among 3 providers Average 2 cases per day Clinical Details Hospital-based practice with inpatient care, OR, ICU, ER consults, and floor rounding Trauma Level I Adult and geriatric patient population Three operating rooms Annual ED volume approximately 85,000 EMR Epic Full ancillary staff support Requirements Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgery Active Connecticut license only BLS and ACLS required Local provider required Must follow rate structure Clean file preferred for credentialing Credentialing timeframe approximately 30–45 days Compensation Rates Facility is accepting bids Malpractice Provided Mileage reimbursement only
