- Hospital-based thoracic surgery service
- Acute care focus
- Average 2–3 cases per day
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- EMR: EPIC
🩺 Core Procedures Required
- Bronchoscopy & Navigational Bronchoscopy
- Robot-Assisted Thoracic Surgery
- VATS
- Endobronchial & Endoscopic Ultrasound (EBUS/EUS)
- Lobectomy, Segmentectomy, Bilobectomy, Pneumonectomy
- Thoracotomy & Decortication
- Tube Thoracostomy, Tracheostomy
- Mediastinoscopy & Pericardial Window
Additional Experience Highly Valued
- Lung cancer and lung nodules
- Advanced lung disease (COPD, pulmonary fibrosis)
- Esophageal disease and cancer
- Anti-reflux and foregut surgery
- Chest wall tumors and reconstruction
- Rib fractures and plating
- Thoracic outlet syndrome, thymomas
- Tracheal stenosis
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified Thoracic Surgery
- Active Virginia medical license
- BLS & ACLS
