Full-Time | Leadership Opportunity | Destination Heart Program
5 – 10+ years of physician leadership experience
An exceptional opportunity is available for a visionary Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join and help lead the expansion of a premier Heart & Vascular Institute on the beautiful coast of Hilton Head, SC. This role is ideal for a surgeon with a builder’s mindset—someone passionate about shaping a regional destination program in cardiac and thoracic care.
Position Highlights:
• Full-time cardiothoracic surgery position with required call
• Play a key leadership role in designing and expanding a destination heart & thoracic program
• Collaborate with a strong, well-established team of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and APPs
• Advance and grow robotic thoracic surgery offerings
• Support & expand the low-dose CT lung cancer screening program
• Influence strategy, infrastructure, and the continued growth of a regional Heart & Vascular Institute
• Join a mission-driven system with excellent administrative support
Candidate Qualifications:
• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• 5–10+ years of physician leadership experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated success in program development or service-line expansion
• Proficient in both cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery
• Strong communicator and team collaborator
• Passion for innovation and high-quality, patient-centered care
