Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Florida | Beginning January 5 – Ongoing | Assignment #112478
Coverage Details
-- Start Date: January 5, 2026 – Ongoing
-- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM
-- Weekend Coverage: Likely one weekend per month
Shift Description
-- No clinic or inpatient consults during weekdays
-- Inpatient surgical cases, pre- and postoperative rounding
-- All rounding done with an APP (APP creates progress and consult notes; surgeon adds note and cosigns)
-- Weekend coverage includes rounding with a PA, only emergent OR cases, and all new consults
Call Details
-- Night Call: 4:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Monday–Thursday, intermittent, shared equitably among surgeons)
-- Weekend Call: Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
-- Surgical PA is first call for floor patients
-- CVICU has CTS APP most nights; ER will call surgeon if needed
