We are seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon for locum tenens coverage in Pennsylvania. This part-time assignment supports the hospital’s CT surgery service and includes both inpatient and occasional outpatient responsibilities.
Overview
- Schedule: 10 consecutive days per month
- Shifts: 24 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
- Setting: Inpatient and outpatient (clinic located two blocks from the hospital)
- Duration: Ongoing assignment
- EMR Systems: Sunrise/Allscripts (inpatient), eClinicalWorks (outpatient)
- Privileges: Full, temporary, or emergency privileges available
Scope of Work
- Rounding with APPs in the morning
- Managing emergency OR cases and consults
- Procedures include CABG, Mitral, Aortic, and TAVR supervision
- Typical workload is light—rarely more than 8 hours onsite per weekday
- Overnight cases are rare
Requirements
- License: Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC in hand
- Experience: Minimum 3 years
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
- DEA: Required
- Board Status: BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery
