  • Other Details: This locum physician opportunity is to provide coverage for holiday dates, with scheduled surgical time in the mornings, office hours in the afternoons, and rounding and oversight of post-operative patients in the ICU, typically managing 2–5 admissions at a time. The provider will take calls from the cath lab, inpatient units, or ER and may be required to complete urgent CABG or AVR procedures if needed, as well as review films at the request of a cardiologist. Coverage is required for November 13 (7 a.m.) through November 18 (7 a.m.) with mandatory orientation on November 12 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and again from January 8, 2026 (7 a.m.) through January 13, 2026 (7 a.m.), with no partial coverage accepted. Candidates must be board certified with an active IN license and more than two years of experience, and TAVR experience is mandatory. Additional requirements include a clean background, active DEA preferred, flu and COVID vaccination (or valid exemption), BLS certification (AHA issued). The schedule includes inpatient rounding as needed, inpatient/ER call, inpatient office call only, and emergency coverage procedures as required.

Job Responsibilities

* Perform scheduled surgical cases in the morning and office hours in the afternoon
* Round and oversee post-operative patients in the ICU (approximately 2–5 at a time)
* Take calls from the cath lab, inpatient units, and ER as needed
* Complete urgent CABG and AVR procedures when required
* Review films at the request of cardiologists from the cath lab
* Enter hours in the Vemsta platform and complete order entry

Qualifications

* Board certified physician with active IN state license
* Minimum of two years of experience
* TAVR experience mandatory
* Active DEA preferred
* Clean background required
* Flu and COVID vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption
* BLS certification (AHA issued)

* Orientation: November 12, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
* Coverage dates: November 13 (7 a.m.) – November 18 (7 a.m.), and January 8, 2026 (7 a.m.) – January 13, 2026 (7 a.m.)

Skills
