- Other Details: This opportunity is for a board-certified CT surgeon to provide adult/geriatric care in Idaho, with a 7am–7am schedule on specific dates (TBD). Required procedures include adult cardiac and general thoracic surgeries such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, ECMO placement, and thoracotomies. The facility uses Epic EMR, has one dedicated CT OR, and four rotating PAs supporting the surgeon. Credentialing requires standard documents including diplomas, licenses, DEA, BLS, CME, immunization records, and case logs. Candidates must have completed ACGME/AOA residency and CT fellowship, hold an active ID license or IMLC with LOQ at submission, and possess ACLS, DEA, and a clean record.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct procedures such as CABG, aortic dissection repair, heart valve repair/replacement, thoracotomy, lung resections, pneumonectomy, pericardial window, tube thoracostomy, and ECMO (VA + VV) placement
- Manage inpatient surgical cases and post-operative care
- Participate in 24-hour call coverage
- Collaborate with a team including 4 rotating PAs and support staff
Qualifications
- Board certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Active Idaho medical license or active IMLC with LOQ at time of name clear
- Current ACLS and DEA certification
- Clean background and no malpractice history
Working Hours
- 24-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.)
- Includes regular and holiday on-call coverage
Skills
- Skilled in ECMO placement and management
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work under pressure in high-acuity settings
