Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Virginia | Seeking 4-9 Days of Coverage per Month Starting in June 2025

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area that needs Cardiothoracic Surgery locum tenens assistance. The facility has one staffed Surgeon that will need an average of 4-9 days of call coverage support per month starting in June and ongoing. There will also be intermittent needs for longer vacation stretches throughout the year.

Seeking 24-hour call coverage, 7A - 7A, on the following shifts:
--Saturday, 6/14 at 7AM – Monday, 6/23 at 7AM
--Friday, 7/11 at 7AM – Monday, 7/15 at 7AM
--Monday, 9/15 at 7AM – Monday, 9/22 at 7AM
--Saturday, 11/1 at 7AM – Monday, 11/3 at 7AM
--Friday, 11/14 at 7AM – Monday, 11/17 at 7AM
--Saturday, 12/20 at 7AM – Monday, 12/29 at 7AM

Details for Assignment #108166:
-- Active + unrestricted Virginia license required at time of presentation
-- Board Certification required
-- Seeking CT Surgery 24-hour ED call coverage (will be required to round, do any emergent procedures, etc.)
-- One staffed CT Surgeon
-- Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery (VATS) experience/skill is preferred; Robotics are available while on assignment but not required
-- Seeing mid-low volumes currently and anticipate 3-5 cases per week, 1-2 per weekend
-- Epic EMR inpatient, Cerner outpatient, located in southeast Virginia, 295+ bed facility, not a designated trauma facility
