GardaWorld Federal Services (GWFS) will be supporting the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to reduce staffing shortages across the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) in order to increase access to care for Veterans. This includes on demand clinical and non-clinical services, to fill emergent staffing needs. The VHA predicts an annual need at medical facilities and community-based outpatient clinics, domiciliary (home) care, nursing homes and other sites of care.

We're looking for a medical professional who studies, diagnoses, and treats illness, injuries, and other ailments. They have knowledge of medical ethics, human anatomy, pharmacology, and other specialties depending on their field. Physicians provide preventative care, detect developing health problems, and give advice to help patients develop healthy habits. Physicians are also known as doctors or medical practitioners.

Job Responsibilities

-Perform surgical procedures within your area of expertise, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
-Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations and assessments to determine the most appropriate surgical approach for each patient.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other physicians, nurses, and support staff, to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
-Utilize advanced surgical techniques and technologies to optimize surgical outcomes and minimize patient discomfort.
-Provide post-operative care and follow-up, monitoring patients' progress and addressing any complications or concerns that may arise.

Qualifications

Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges: Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

Working Hours

-Available onsite for scheduled elective clinical procedures and patient evaluations at the clinic on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

-Provide on-call coverage on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 am (15-hour coverage) when the clinic is closed.

-Provide on-call weekday coverage on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and weekends/holidays (24 hours daily coverage) for emergency cases and Cath Lab procedures.
