Location: Midland, MI
Duration: ASAP – December 2023
Reason for coverage: Shortage of providers
Schedule: 1-2 weeks per month, Clinic 1.5 days per week, rounding daily for post-op and new consults
Call: 24-7 every day (provider just also covers clinic 1.5 days per week)
Call volume: 1-3 calls per 24-hr period
Patient volume: Clinic 10-15 patients per day, Rounding volume: approx 15 per day
Scope: Thoracic Surgery + clinic
Types of Outpatient Visits:
- New patient referrals
- Post-op follow-up
- Long-term follow-up
- Televisits with Alpena f/u pts
Types of Surgeries/Procedures:
- Thoracoscopy
- Lobectomy
- Wedge Resection
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
- Hiatal Hernia Repair
- Zenker’s Diverticulum Surgery
EMR: EPIC
Hospital: Level 2 trauma
Group/support: full hospital support staff, clinic support staff unknown
Requirements (boards, license): Board Certified or Board Eligible with Michigan or Compact license
