🩺 Key Responsibilities

As a Retina Surgeon, you will:

  • Diagnose and manage complex vitreoretinal diseases, including:

    • Diabetic retinopathy

    • Retinal detachment

    • Macular degeneration

    • Retinal vein occlusions

    • Macular holes and epiretinal membranes

  • Perform advanced vitreoretinal surgical procedures (PPV, scleral buckle, etc.)

  • Administer intravitreal injections and laser treatments

  • Interpret OCT, fluorescein angiography, and other diagnostic imaging

  • Collaborate with referring ophthalmologists and optometrists

  • Maintain high-quality documentation and patient-centered care standards

  • Participate in clinical research and innovation initiatives (if interested)

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution

  • Completion of Ophthalmology Residency

  • Completion of Fellowship Training in Vitreoretinal Surgery

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology

  • Eligible for state medical licensure in applicable location(s)

  • Strong surgical and clinical skills
