Job description
Our dynamic and growing multi-specialty practice is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Podiatric Surgeon with expertise to join our team. This is an in-patient and, outpatient position with a focus on foot, ankle, lower extremity chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, and limb preservation. You’ll collaborate with specialists in wound care, vascular surgery, and endocrinology in a highly supportive, clinic environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform surgical debridement and wound care for lower extremities.
• Diagnose and treat various podiatric conditions such as fractures, deformities, and infections.
• Evaluate patient medical history and perform physical examinations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide pre and post-operative care and instructions to patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Educate patients on proper foot and ankle care and preventive measures.
• Stay current with advances in podiatric surgical techniques and technologies.
• Prescribe orthopedic devices and rehabilitation therapies when necessary.
Qualifications
• Advanced fellowship training in specialized areas of podiatric surgery.
• Extensive experience in both surgical and non-surgical podiatric treatments.
• Extensive experience in lower extremity wound care treatments.
• Strong background in diabetic foot care.
• Proficiency in the latest surgical techniques and medical technologies.
• Exceptional patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a residency program in podiatric surgery.
• Licensure to practice as a podiatric surgeon in the relevant state or region.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
