A leading Midwest health system is seeking a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon for a full-time locum assignment with immediate start options.

📌 Position Overview

• Full-time Need

• Patient Contact Hours: 36 hrs/week

• Schedule Options:

  • 7 on / 7 off OR

  • 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off

• Start: ASAP – Call-only to start; clinic/OR may be added later

• Clinic Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (Mon–Fri)

• Clinic Days: Mon–Fri

• Procedure/OR Days: 2–4 per week

• On-Call: Soft tissue call + clinic call/EMTALA rotation

📍 Practice Details

• Inpatient Coverage: Required

• No Outreach, No Telehealth

• Providers On Team: 1 MD + 1 APP

• No APP Supervision Required

• Nursing Support: 1:1

• Imaging, Lab, Pharmacy: Onsite

• Clinic Volume: 16+ patients/day

• Appointment Length: 15–30 mins

• Patient Demographics: All ages; surgical + cosmetic

• EMR: Epic

• Teaching Opportunities Available

🩺 Job Responsibilities

• Trauma call

• ER consults

• In-office procedures

• Reconstructive cases in collaboration with breast surgeons

💲 Compensation

(Malpractice must be included in rates)

• 24-Hour On Call: $3200 (includes first 2 hrs gratis)

• Call Back: $350 ((after 2 hours gratis))

🚗 Travel Reimbursements

• Flights: Up to $750 round trip (taxes/fees included)

• Lodging: Up to 1.5× GSA rate (taxes/fees included)

• Car Rental: Up to $55/day

• Mileage: IRS Standard

✔️ Submission Requirements

• Board Certified Plastic Surgery

• Active IA License OR IMLC LOQ

• Experienced surgeon

• Clean malpractice / no background issues

• Available for required schedule (7 on/7 off OR 2 on/2 off)
