Job description
Palm Health Resources is seeking a Neuro-Interventional Surgeon to join an established, high-functioning Neuro-Endovascular team at a leading 280-bed teaching hospital in Johnson City, New York. This is an outstanding locum tenens opportunity in a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center within a fully integrated health system serving Central New York.
Clinical Scope & Responsibilities
The Locum Neuro-Interventionalist will be responsible for a full spectrum of endovascular procedures, including:
- Mechanical thrombectomy
- Aneurysm coiling
- AVM and tumor embolization
- Diagnostic cerebral angiograms
- Carotid stenting
Case Volume: Approx. 5–7 procedures per week
Call Coverage: 24/7 endovascular call; Locum will be the sole on-call attending
Response Time: 30-minute call-to-hospital arrival
Stroke Alerts: First triaged by stroke neurologist; NIV consulted for interventional cases
Backup Support: 24/7 access to neurosurgery, vascular neurology, and interventional radiology
