COOKEVILLE, TN (A Short Drive to Nashville, Knoxville & The Great Smoky Mountains) - Neurosurgeon Opportunity
Opportunity is available for a neurosurgeon to join a well-established general neurosurgical practice in Middle Tennessee. This two person practice does over 900, mainly elective general neurosurgical cases a year. Currently, the practice is providing state-of-the-art neurosurgical care in a local setting. Our surgeons practice out of one hospital that does not do trauma. With the upcoming departure of one of the two partners, there is a need for a well-trained, conservative, motivated, and pleasant person to take over his half of the practice. Our Southeastern University town is a great place to raise a family, with a low coast of living in a no income tax state.
We have plenty of outdoor activities including two large lakes, and several state parks. With the Great Smokey Mountains two hours away and downtown Nashville a little over an hour drive, a fun eventful weekend is not far away. With the Nashville International Airport less than an hour away travel is very easy.
Tier 1 Orthopedic and Neurological Surgery is a small multi-specialty group located in Middle Tennessee.
Dr. Jestus was recruited to Middle Tennessee directly out of his neurosurgical residency in 1997 to start the neurosurgical program at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. After two years of rapid growth, Dr. Jestus started to recruit a partner and Dr. Cruz was brought on in 1999. We have since added three mid-level practitioners. Our hospital does not have a trauma designation. The practice is predominantly an elective private practice. Five years ago our neurosurgeons joined with a Physiatrist and a group of five orthopedic surgeons from Cookeville. They purchased and renovated a building and started Tier 1 Orthopedic and Neurological Surgery. They have since expanded into three buildings in Cookeville that houses the outpatient clinics, MRI, billing and administrative offices, and physical therapy practice.
The practice has two Leica Scopes and a Brain and Spine Stereotactic with the addition of an onsite Physiatrist.
