Job Overview

• Start Date: Start as soon as privileged (~45-60 days)
• Setting: Inpatient / acute practice
• Patient Volume: Average 7 new consults per day. Average 4-8 surgical cases per week
• Job Details:
  • General neurosurgery including management of cranial and spinal trauma, intracranial hemorrhage, placement of external ventricular drains, treatment of hydrocephalus, craniotomy for evacuation of hematomas or tumors, and spinal procedures such as decompressions and instrumentation as indicated.
  • Patient mix: Majority adults and geriatrics, small percentage of adolescent and peds. Adolescent and Peds primarily from trauma and transfer out peds NSGY needs that are not manageable by NSGY team
  • 1 week per month (Monday 7a-Monday 7a) ongoing. Schedule consists of Mon-Fri 7a-5p, weeknight call 5p-7a, and 24-hour weekend call from Friday 5p-Monday 7a
• Client Requirements: BC in Neurosurgery, IL license
• EMR: Epic
• Delta Locum Tenens can assist with travel arrangements and credentialing, and will cover malpractice.
