Neurosurgery Locums Job in Illinois | 24-Hour Call | ASAP and Ongoing
One of our partnering facilities is seeking one week per month of Neurosurgery locums coverage, starting ASAP and ongoing.
Job Details/Requirements:
--Schedule: Monday 7a-Monday 7a
--Coverage Needed: 1 week per month ongoing
--Patient volume: 6.75 new consults per day and list averages around 25 patients per day
--Cases from call: 4-8 per week
--Inpatient and acute practice only
--Procedures: General neurosurgery including management of cranial and spinal trauma, intracranial hemorrhage, placement of external ventricular drains, treatment of hydrocephalus, craniotomy for evacuation of hematomas or tumors, and spinal procedures such as decompressions and instrumentation as indicated.
Shifts: 24-hour call:
--Weekday shifts: Monday-Friday on site 7am-5pm followed by call 5pm-7am
--Weekend shifts: Friday 5pm-Monday 7am, 24-hour call only no on site hours required
Candidate Requirements:
--Active Illinois license required
--Six hours of stroke-specific CME over 2 year-period
--Board Certified or Board Eligible
--Specializing in Brain and Spine complex cases

--EMR: EPIC
--Comprehensive Stroke Center
--Level I Trauma center
--Beds: 500+
--Support staff: 4 daytime APPs and 1-2 Night APPs. Clinic RN and MA support
