Board-Certified Neurosurgeon Locum Needs in OH!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent cases at a Level I Trauma Center. The role focuses on adult and geriatric neurosurgical emergencies presenting through the Emergency Department. This is an ongoing need for one week per month, with immediate coverage required for specific March dates.

Dates / Schedule

• Coverage Dates: March 3–10 (provider must be available for these dates; no exceptions)

• Ongoing Need: 1 week per month

• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage

• Shift Hours Noted: 8–12

• Call Back compensation applicable

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Practice Setting: Hospital

• Trauma Level: Level I

• Average Surgical Cases: 1–2 emergent cases per day

• Neurosurgery team: 1 employed, 1 non-employed neurosurgeon

• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric (emergent cases via ED)

• EMR: EPIC

• Neuro Interventional Radiology available in-house

Required Procedures – Neurosurgery

• Adult and Trauma Neurosurgery cases

• Brain bleed stoppage

• Clot removal

• Tumor removal

• Trauma repair

• Shunt insertion or revision

Required Spine Procedures

• Spine stabilization and reconstruction

• Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty

• Spinal fusion

• Laminectomy

• Diskectomy

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Neurosurgery — Required

• Active Ohio Medical License — Required (no exceptions)

• Availability for March 3–10 coverage — Required (no exceptions)

• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation — Required

• BLS and ACLS certifications — Required

This opportunity is ideal for a neurosurgeon experienced in high-acuity trauma environments and comfortable managing complex emergent cranial and spine cases independently in a Level I Trauma setting.
