ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage for urgent and emergent cases at a Level I Trauma Center. The role focuses on adult and geriatric neurosurgical emergencies presenting through the Emergency Department. This is an ongoing need for one week per month, with immediate coverage required for specific March dates.

Job Details / Responsibilities

Practice Setting: Hospital

Trauma Level: Level I
-
Average Surgical Cases: 1–2 emergent cases per day

Neurosurgery team: 1 employed, 1 non-employed neurosurgeon

Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric (emergent cases via ED)

EMR: EPIC

Neuro Interventional Radiology available in-house
Required Procedures – Neurosurgery

Required Spine Procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

Board Certified in Neurosurgery — Required

Active Ohio Medical License — Required (no exceptions)

Availability for March 3–10 coverage — Required (no exceptions)

Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation — Required

BLS and ACLS certifications — Required
This opportunity is ideal for a neurosurgeon experienced in high-acuity trauma environments and comfortable managing complex emergent cranial and spine cases independently in a Level I Trauma setting.
