Neurosurgery Locum Tenens Opportunity

Arizona | Level I Trauma | February 21–26, 2026

A busy Level I Trauma hospital in Arizona is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurosurgeon for short-term locum tenens coverage.

This is a high-acuity, trauma-focused assignment with expedited credentialing.

Assignment Details

  • Dates: February 21, 2026 (7:00 AM) – February 26, 2026 (7:00 AM)

  • Coverage Type: 24-hour beeper call

  • Practice Setting: Hospital

  • Trauma Level: Level I – High Volume

  • Patient Population: 100% Adult Trauma

  • Hospital Size: 317 beds

  • EMR: Cerner

  • Compensation: Flat daily rate

Clinical Volume

  • Average of 6 patients per day

  • Approximately 1 trauma surgeries per day

  • No elective cases – trauma cases only

  • Busy, fast-paced service line

This department manages a high volume of complex neurosurgical trauma cases and requires a physician comfortable in an active Level I trauma environment.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery

  • Active Arizona Medical License required (IMLC candidates considered)

  • DEA registered in Arizona

  • BLS certification

Credentialing

  • Expedited credentialing available

  • Approximate timeframe: 3 days
