We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity for a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon in Petoskey, Michigan. This is a hospital-based position providing 24-hour call coverage, including rounding, inpatient admits, and emergent surgeries.

Specialty: Neurosurgery – Provider MUST perform both spinal and cranial procedures

Coverage: 24-hour call, daily rounding, inpatient admits, emergent surgeries

Clinic Support: 1 Neurosurgeon, 1 Ortho-Spinal Surgeon, and Neurosurgery APPs

Facilities: Imaging, lab, procedure rooms, and OR all on-site

Patient Load: Approximately 5-10 inpatients per day

Job Responsibilities
Board-Certified Neurosurgeon (No BE)
Completed Fellowship with minimum 2-3 years of experience
ACLS Certification
Active Michigan license (IMLC accepted if background is 100% clean)
Clean background; minimum malpractice allowed
Must perform both spinal and cranial procedures
Compensation:
$3,500 / 24-hour shift (includes 4 hours gratis)
Call back: $500 / hour
Orientation: $300
Expected Coverage: 14 days per month
