Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide 24-hour emergency call coverage for spinal and cranial cases
- Respond to urgent neurosurgical consults and emergencies as needed
- Perform surgical interventions for spinal and cranial trauma
- Tumor removal is a plus but not required
- Collaborate with rounding RN and PA support staff during weekday hours
- Monitor and round on 10–12 patients daily for ongoing care and post-operative follow-up
- Submit 24 case logs from the past 24 months as part of credentialing
Additional Information
- Must have active Ohio medical license
- Board certification in Neurological Surgery required
- Experience in both spinal and cranial procedures necessary
- Emergency call only; no scheduled elective cases
- Low volume: 0–6 cases per week
- Support staff offer minimal assistance during weekdays due to clinic responsibilities
