Practice Setting:
Level II Trauma Hospital
Daily Patient Volume: 12–15
Number of Current Neurosurgeons: 1.5
Outpatient and Inpatient Consults: Yes
Support Staff: Office assistant, RN
Schedule & Call:
24/7 coverage, 1 week per month
Daily 24-hour call coverage
Consistent, dedicated coverage for assigned week
Will consider earlier start dates
Job Responsibilities
Typical cases: compression fractures, spinal infections, cervical spine, craniotomy for subdural hematoma
Interventional percentage (cranial vs. spine) to be discussed with current Lead Neurosurgeon
Spine and aneurysm clipping preferred; discussed further during interview.
EMR & Credentials:
EMR: Cerner
Board Certified, American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS) required
Active LOQ license required at submission (IMLC providers considered)
Qualifications
Credentialing timeframe: 30–60 days (up to 90 days possible for temps)
Facility open to considering candidates who can start earlier
