Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Urologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in California. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient coverage, with scheduled clinic hours and call responsibilities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with supportive staff, manage a diverse caseload, and perform advanced urological procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Cover clinic hours Monday through Friday with variable schedules.
Take call 7–10 days per month, including weekends and overnight coverage.
Evaluate and treat adult patients, averaging 16+ patients per shift.
Perform a variety of procedures, including:
• Advanced endoscopic techniques
• Laparoscopic surgeries
• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy
• Ureteroscopy
• Radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit
• Radical prostatectomy
• Nephrectomy and prostatectomy
• Renal and bladder ultrasound
• TRUS biopsies
Collaborate with support staff and other specialists to ensure quality patient care.
Document all patient interactions in Epic EMR.
Qualifications
Active California medical license (required).
Active Fluoroscopy Certification (required).
Prior experience with advanced urological procedures preferred.
Clean background and malpractice history strongly preferred.
Working Hours
Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (times may vary).
Call Coverage: 7–10 days per month, including weekends.
• Weekday call: nights after clinic hours
• Weekend call: 24-hour coverage
Assignment Dates Include:
• Nov 24–30, Dec 22–Jan 4, Jan 19–26, Feb 9–16, Mar 23–30, Apr 21–29, May 26–Jun 2, Jun 22–29
