A hospital in Northern Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon for 24-hour call coverage. The provider must be comfortable with both spinal and cranial procedures and have recent, relevant experience post-fellowship (minimum 2-3 years).
A hospital in Northern Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon for 24-hour call coverage. The provider must be comfortable with both spinal and cranial procedures and have recent, relevant experience post-fellowship (minimum 2-3 years).
Job Responsibilities
24-hour on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays as needed
Emergent surgeries, inpatient rounding (5–10 patients/day), and admits
Must work closely with existing neurosurgery APPs, 1 neurosurgeon, and 1 ortho-spinal surgeon
Use of Cerner EMR
On-site access to imaging, labs, ORs, and procedure rooms
Qualifications
Board Certified in Neurosurgery
ACLS
Active MI license or IMLC (only with 100% clean background)
Clean malpractice and disciplinary history
Must perform both spinal and cranial surgeries
Fellowship trained with minimum 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience.
Working Hours
14 days per month call coverage (24 hours on call)
