About the Position
Locum Neurosurgeon – Weekend Coverage (Long Weekends)
We are seeking an experienced Board-Certified Neurosurgeon to provide 1–2 long weekends of locum coverage per month.
Details:

Start: As soon as credentialed (ongoing need)

Coverage: 24-hour hospital-based call (7a–7a)
-
Preferred schedule: Thursday–Monday; will consider Friday–Monday

Setting: Level 1 trauma center, 12 ORs, large neurosurgery team

Patient demographic: Ages 17+
-
Cases include:
-
Adult and trauma neurosurgery
-
Tumor removal, brain bleed control, trauma repair
-
Shunt insertion/revision, cranial burr holes, intracranial procedures
-
Spinal surgeries: discectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, stabilization/reconstruction

Neurocritical care procedures and monitoring

Technology: Epic EMR
Requirements:

Board Certification (required)
-
Active Colorado license (required)
-
BLS, ACLS, ATLS (required)
-
COVID vaccination (required)
-
Fellowship training (preferred, not required)
-
Clean malpractice history (highly preferred)
