Assignment Details: A 355-bed facility within a large health system is seeking a board-certified Neurological Surgeon for an ongoing locums assignment starting September 1, 2025. This is a great opportunity to join an established team of three providers in the beautiful city of Hickory, NC.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Scheduled clinic hours plus call.

• Call: Call is a required component of this role. It is a 1:3 rotation with an average of 8 calls and 3 follow-ups per 24-hour period. Response time is within 20 minutes, and a beeper is provided.

• Patient Care: The position includes a mix of inpatient and outpatient care. You'll be responsible for both assigned and unassigned patients.

• EHR: The facility uses both Athena and Cerner EMR systems.
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certification: Required

• Licensure: Must have an active North Carolina medical license

Preferred Skills: We are looking for a candidate with a broad range of skills, including but not limited to:

• Cerebrovascular procedures (Open, Endovascular)

• Aneurysm clipping and Carotid/Vertebral artery surgery

• Tumor and Neuroendocrine surgery

• Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar)

• Skull base and Peripheral nerve surgery

• Placement of ICP monitors and Central line placement

• Vent Management

• Various pain and endovascular procedures
