Trident Health is seeking a Dually Trained Neurosurgery/Neuro Interventional/Stroke Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in South Carolina.
Job Highlights:

Pay Rate: $3,500–$4,000/day (includes 24-hour call with callback rate).

Coverage: Neurosurgery consults for trauma call in the ED (average 6–10 consults, variable based on acuity).

Stroke Interventions: Required.

Coverage Schedule: Average of 4 days per month (varies based on PTO, CME, and supporting call).

Support: No midlevel providers.

Systems: eClinicalWorks EMR.

Facility: DNV Primary+ Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center (seeking Comprehensive Stroke Center Certification).

Volume: Approximately 1,000 strokes/TIA annually.

Resources: Access to newly constructed Bi-Plane OR suites for neuroendovascular procedures.
Job Responsibilities
Perform stroke interventions and neurosurgical consults.
Manage trauma and stroke cases as needed.
Qualifications
South Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Dually trained in neurosurgery and neuro interventional procedures.
Working Hours
Start Date: 11/3/2025
Shift Schedule: 24-hour call (standard 7 nights, 19:00 – 7:00).
Working Hours:
24-hour on-call coverage during scheduled days.
Skills
Strong clinical judgment in trauma and stroke management.
Comfortable working independently without midlevel support.
