NEUROSURGERY – PUEBLO, COLORADO

• Start Date: ASAP

• Position: Replacement for a single neurosurgeon (high demand)

• Board Requirements: Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible through ABNS

• Schedule:

  • 2 days in clinic

  • 2 days in OR

  • 1 flex day

• Call:

  • 7 days/month ER call with imaging review from home (minimal in-person)

  • Floor calls managed by PAs

  • Likely 1 weekend call per month

• Inpatient, outpatient, and clinic

• Facility Trauma Level III

• Opportunity to build elective spine practice in underserved community

• Team: 1 neurosurgeon + 4 experienced APPs

• Clinic co-located with pain service and on-site X-ray

• Neuro-navigation tools: Globus Robot and Stryker available

• EMR: EPIC

• Not open to:

  • 1099 contractors

  • Visa candidates

  • Candidates only ABCNS certified/eligible

  • Providers commuting >1 hour or holding multiple jobs

  • Candidates seeking alternate shift schedules

• Accepting new graduates through 2025 who are truly Board Eligible within 5 years and working toward Board Certification within 4 years

• ER call involves remote imaging review, minimal hospital presence

• Floor call covered by PAs

• Weekend call approximately one per month
