General Surgery Group Practice in Southern Ohio - Loan repayment up to $200,000!!
Opportunity: Hospital employed opportunity
CASE LOAD: Retiring physician averaged 400 endo cases and 200 general surgery cases annually over last two years in practice.
Employment Opportunity:
Salary Range: Option #1: Base salary of $344,000 (for those just completing training) with additional compensation for experience with a guaranteed salary for 2 years. Can be switched to a wRVU production contract when exceeding target. (5% less for those not yet boarded, switched immediately when become boarded)
Option #2: Base salary of 441,000 (75%tile) guaranteed for one year and then switched to production contract. (5% less for those not yet boarded, switched immediately when become boarded)
Vacation: 4 weeks plus holidays/sick days (29 PTO days). Additional 5 days when producing 75%tile wRVUs
CME/Books & Journals: 5 days and up to $5,000.
Renewal contracts will be wRVU production based.
Contract also includes:
Deferred compensation: 457b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $18,000 year before taxes. No matching.
Retirement / Savings Plan: 403b plan. Defer compensation up to IRS limit of $18,000 year before taxes under age 50 and $24,000 for over age 50. Medical Center matches dollar for dollar up to 2% of base pay.
Moving Expense: $10,000 paid to moving company
Malpractice Insurance Coverage: in a claims made insurance, in an amount of $1,000,000, per claim/$3,000,000, aggregate
Health Insurance: physician pays small premium, deducted from paycheck
Liquidated Damages: 70 mile and 2 year non-compete clause or liquidated damages of one year salary
Additional contracts / options:
Medical School Loan Repayment: repay up to $200,000 ($25,000 per year for each year of service commitment)
Community emergency response plan (CERP) – pay for call – explained by CFO
Sign on Bonus - $50,000 (paid when contract signed and forgiven over 2 years)
It is a family-oriented community with a service area of 120,000. Located along the Ohio River, the city offers services to southern Ohio and northern Kentucky. There are many cultural and recreational amenities: a local orchestra, museum, theaters, water sports, several challenging golf courses, and other outdoor activities. The city is less than 2 hours south of Columbus and less than 2 hours east of Cincinnati, with easy access to major metropolitan areas in the tri-state region.
