An opportunity is available for a General Surgeon to join a thriving medical community and hospital in West Virginia. There are currently three employed surgeons in a shared call rotation and the hospital is looking to add a 4th in an expansion for the department. This is a bread and butter general surgery position, along with some trauma. The hospital serves as the region's premier surgical center, performing roughly 17,000 surgeries last year. They do perform open-heart and some neurosurgical procedures. Advanced laparoscopic surgery is available.
This is a hospital employed position with a 275 bed non-profit medical center. There is a Family Medicine residency here and over 230 physicians comprise the medical staff. One hour from a major metro area.
