Seeking an experienced general surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage in an outpatient clinic setting. This opportunity involves call coverage for up to 7 days per month, with scheduled hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and beeper call coverage for the rest of the 24-hour shift, including evenings and weekends. The position starts in November, contingent on credentialing and privileging completion, and requires an active Florida license.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide surgical care including laparoscopic, vascular, obstetric & gynecologic, and plastic surgeries.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in surgical procedures (e.g., appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty).
- Deliver on-call coverage from home after regular hours, including weekends.

Qualifications
- Active Florida medical license required.
- Board certification in Surgery is mandatory.
- Proficient in advanced life support certifications (ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS).
- Extensive experience in general surgery and related procedures required.

Working Hours
- Scheduled days: Up to 7 days per month
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with after-hours call coverage

Skills
- Comprehensive surgical skills in both adult and pediatric patients.
- Specialized skills in head/neck, breast, minor orthopedic, and hand surgeries.
- Proficiency in managing ventilation, central line and chest tube insertions, and PA catheter placements.
- Experience with abdominal and thoracic aneurysm repairs and arterial bypass surgeries.
- Laser certification required for various procedures.
