Job description
We are seeking a Locums General Surgery Physician to provide 24-hour emergency department and inpatient general surgery coverage in Brigham City, Utah. Coverage is needed throughout October, with the opportunity to support a busy call schedule.
Schedule & Coverage
- Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m. (24-hour call)
- Coverage Need: Approximately 30 24-hour call shifts per month
- All October Dates Needed
- EMR: Meditech
Responsibilities
- Provide general surgery coverage for emergency department and inpatient patients.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute surgical conditions.
- Respond to emergency surgical consultations and provide treatment as appropriate.
- Coordinate patient care with nursing, technical, and radiology staff.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in Meditech.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Active Utah medical license
- Active Utah DEA registration
- Utah license and Utah DEA are required. IMLC candidates will not be considered due to the immediate staffing need.
