Position: Locum Tenens General / Emergency General Surgeon
Location: Kentucky
EMR: MEDITECH
Start Date: October 23, 2026 (Ongoing Coverage)
Credentialing Timeline: ~30 Days
Schedule & Confirmed Shift Blocks
- Coverage Type: 24-Hour Call Only (Emergency General Surgery & Trauma Coverage)
- Shift Window: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-Hour Call Blocks)
- Confirmed 2026 Call Blocks:
- October: 10/23 (7:00 AM) – 10/26 (7:00 AM) | 10/29 (7:00 AM) – 11/2 (7:00 AM)
- November (Thanksgiving Block): 11/26 (7:00 AM) – 11/30 (7:00 AM)
- December / New Year's Block: 12/24 (7:00 AM) – 1/3 (7:00 AM)
Clinical Scope & Procedural Workload
- Required Procedures: Emergency General Surgery, Trauma management, Bowel Resection, Perforation repair, Incision & Drainage (I&D) of abscesses, and complex Wound Care
Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements
- Board Status: Board Certified (BC) in General Surgery
- Licensure: Active Kentucky State Medical License or active IMLC (Compact) license
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
