Shift Details
-- Call-only inpatient coverage
-- Every weekend from Thursday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM or every other weekend from Thursday 7:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
-- Beeper call with a 30-minute response time
-- Call ratio: 1:4
-- Three phone consultations
-- Call coverage includes rounding and admissions, with hospitalist admitting
Requirements
-- Board certified or board eligible
-- Active Indiana license
-- BLS certification
Required Procedures / Skills
-- General surgery
-- Adult care
-- Trauma
Assignment Details
-- Eight patients per shift
-- 15 departmental beds
-- EMR: Epic
-- Support staff: Four RNs and one office staff member
-- Facility Trauma Level: 3
-- No supervision of advanced practice providers required
-- No resident or teaching supervision required
