Job Requirements

• Physician (MD/DO) with a valid, unrestricted medical license eligible for the assignment location
• Board certified in General Surgery
• Minimum of 1 year of general surgery experience required
• ACLS certification required
• Fellowship training preferred
• Strong experience with general surgery procedures and call coverage
• Comfort working in a Level IV trauma environment

Responsibilities

• Provide general surgery call coverage and respond to surgical consults as needed
• Perform a broad range of general surgery procedures, including laparoscopic and open cases
• Manage pre-operative, operative, and post-operative surgical care
• Support urgent and emergent surgical needs in a collaborative clinical environment
• Handle preferred procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and related general surgery cases
• Work closely with hospital staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care during coverage periods
