Assignment Details Start/end: 10/9 (7am CST) through 10/11 (7am) Schedule: Call only; beeper call, 30-min response, 6 ratio, 15% callback Coverage type: Call only, inpatient — cover inpatient consults and the emergency room, round on inpatient consults Volume: ~20 patients/shift; 10 phone consults; 200-bed facility Setting: Level 3 trauma, stroke certified Support: Not specified EMR: Cerner Credentialing: ~30 days; temp privileges available Clinical Details Required scope: General surgery (adult, trauma), laparoscopic surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, Nissen), chest wall/pleural procedures, chest tube and central line insertion, vascular access devices Preferred scope: Pediatric general surgery, liver surgery, GI endoscopy (upper and lower), PA catheter, laser certification, vascular surgery (aneurysm repair, bypass, peripheral, AV shunt) Rounds on assigned patients Requirements Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery License: AL or IMLC ACLS, BLS Active DEA Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
