### Locums | General Surgery | Kodiak, AK (active AK license required) ### Why This Role

  • Two defined 24-hour call blocks
  • Low-volume Level IV hospital
  • Hospital apartment located within a two-minute walk
  • Temporary privileges available for clean files
  • No clinic responsibilities ###
Assignment Details Coverage blocks: - October 20 at 7am–November 4, 2026 at 7am - November 18 at 7am–December 2, 2026 at 7am This assignment is limited to the dates above; no ongoing coverage is listed Schedule: Continuous 24-hour beeper call Call response time: 20 minutes Setting: Inpatient Coverage includes assigned and unassigned patients Volume: Approximately 4–5 patients per shift Facility: Eight-bed, Level IV hospital No admissions required EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 60 days Temporary privileges: Available for clean files Housing: Hospital apartment located approximately two minutes from the facility ### Requirements Board-certified General Surgeon Active Alaska medical license Active Alaska DEA before the assignment begins Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications Completely clean malpractice, NPDB, licensing, and professional history Providers with settlements, substance-related issues, restrictions, terminations, or medical-board actions are not eligible for temporary privileges ### Clinical Details General Surgery call coverage Laparoscopic surgery Hernioplasty Emergency inpatient surgical consultations Obstetric and gynecologic surgical experience preferred Cesarean-section experience preferred
