Job Requirements
- Active Texas medical license required
- DEA certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of cardiothoracic surgery experience preferred
- Clean credentialing file required for temporary privileges
- Ability to provide reliable 24-hour call coverage
- Strong clinical judgment and professionalism in a surgical setting
Responsibilities
- Provide cardiothoracic surgery locum tenens coverage during scheduled weekends
- Deliver 24-hour call coverage from 7a-7a as assigned
- Evaluate patients and respond to surgical needs in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the surgical care team to support safe, high-quality patient care
- Document encounters accurately within the EMR
- Maintain a professional presence and support continuity of care throughout the assignment
