Overview
A hospital in northern Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for locum tenens call coverage. This opportunity focuses on Emergency Department consults and bread-and-butter Orthopedics, with a particular need for strong total joint and general Orthopedic skills. (Job ID: 51687)
Details
- Setting: Hospital
- Coverage: 24-hour call
- Emergency Department call and consults as requested
- General Orthopedic cases including fractures and sports injuries
- Total joint procedures and arthroscopy
- No spine cases
- Complex or higher-acuity cases are typically transferred
- Orthopedic PAs and full surgical staff available
- Onsite orientation required
- Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 30 days
Requirements
- Active ABOS Board Certification required
- NBPAS Board Certification not accepted
- Active Michigan medical license required
- Michigan CDS required
- Michigan DEA required
- Strong general Orthopedic and total joint experience
