Join a leading healthcare organization in Lima, Ohio seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide advanced surgical care for cardiac, thoracic, and chest conditions. This opportunity offers collaboration with cardiology, pulmonology, anesthesia, and critical care teams in a high-impact surgical environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform cardiac and thoracic surgeries involving the heart, lungs, great vessels, and chest structures
• Manage coronary artery disease, valvular disease, thoracic masses, lung disease, and other surgical conditions
• Oversee pre-operative assessments, operative planning, and post-operative recovery care
• Collaborate closely with cardiology, pulmonology, intensivists, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Participate in ICU rounding and management of post-surgical patients
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, risks, recovery expectations, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and surgical programs
• Provide call coverage as required by the department
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Valid Ohio medical license or eligibility to obtain
• DEA certification if required
• Strong surgical, clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
• No red flags or disciplinary history on license

• Mix of OR, Inpatient Rounding, and Shared Call Coverage
