Job Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency) in Neurosurgery
• Active Michigan medical license or active IMLC LOQ (highly preferred; will consider candidates who need assistance obtaining license)
• BLS certification
• Ability to cover 7 days per month (one week on-call)
• Self-query NPDB (pulled within the month) required at time of presentation
• Minimum 1 year of neurosurgery clinical experience; trauma neurosurgery experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neurosurgical care for adult and geriatric patients in a hospital-based setting
• Manage trauma neurosurgery cases and coordinate acute neurosurgical interventions
• Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage one week per month
• Perform neurosurgical procedures for trauma and elective cases as required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (ER, ICU, ortho, radiology) to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Document patient care and surgical notes using EPIC EMR
