Exciting opportunity for a General Surgery physician to provide in-house surgical coverage at a busy hospital in Chambersburg, PA. Ideal for physicians who enjoy a focused surgical practice with no outpatient clinic duties and want flexibility with call coverage.
Job Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour in-house surgical coverage on scheduled call days 🏥
Manage adult patients requiring general surgical care
Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Document patient care in EPIC EMR system
Handle a wide range of general surgery cases, excluding upper and lower endoscopies
Qualifications
Board Certified in General Surgery ✔️
Pennsylvania medical license required
DEA required
Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days; temporary coverage available with a clean record
Working Hours
24-hour in-house call shifts
Coverage scheduled on dates of availability, typically 1 week at a time
Skills
Strong general surgery acumen
Ability to manage acute in-house surgical cases independently
Effective communication and teamwork with hospital staff
