Join Our Team as a Surgery Cardiothoracic Physician
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgery Cardiothoracic Physician to join our esteemed medical team. Required Skills:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Surgery
- Active PA Medical License
- DEA Certification
- Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience in cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficiency in urgent surgical procedures and patient management
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supporting advanced procedures, excluding TAVRs
- Prior work in hospital environments with ICU and emergency surgeries
- Additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or perioperative care
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Successful completion of residency and fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery
- Proven track record of managing adult patients (18+)
- At least 1 year of relevant surgical experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
- Valid Pennsylvania medical license
- DEA certification
- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts from Friday at 12 pm through Monday at 7 am, including weekends and on-call hours
- Availability for credentialing within approximately 90 days
- Willingness to support staff with APP and provide backup for urgent surgeries
- Willingness to work 3 weekends per month with 24-hour call coverage
