Coverage Needed
- Start Date: As soon as credentialed
- End Date: Up to 1 year
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. clinic with 24-hour call
- Call: 5:30am-5:30am
- 7-10 day block schedule
Clinical Details
- Setting: Acute care and clinic practice
- Patients per Day: 14-16 in clinic
- Required Procedures:
- Diagnostic Colonoscopies
- Screening Colonoscopies
- Cholecystectomy
- Hernia repair with mesh
- Diagnostic EGD
- Excision of breast
- Repair abdominal wall with synthetic substitute
- Appendectomy
- Skin Excision
- Hemorrhoidectomy
- Provide 24-hour call coverage, and provide post-op care, consultations scheduled and emergency surgery
- EMR: Meditech in the hospital and eCW in the clinic
- Support Staff: Complete staff in the hospital and typical support medical assistants and RN in the clinic
- 500 surgeries per year or 10 per week, 75% of which are outpatient
- Inpatient admissions per week: 2
- One general surgeon working at a time
Requirements
- Board Certified
- State License: Oregon (License in process acceptable for May/June start)
- Residency/Fellowship
- ACLS, BLS, DEA
- Malpractice Clean: Highly Preferred
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days
