Inpatient Call & OR Coverage | 24-Hour Call | Ongoing Assignment

365 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a locum opportunity in Syracuse, New York. This assignment provides inpatient call and surgical coverage within a hospital-based orthopedic program supported by an established physician team.

This is a 100% inpatient role focused on call, consults, and operative cases.

Schedule Model

• 24-hour call coverage
• Inpatient call and OR responsibilities
• Ongoing coverage blocks

Practice Overview

• 100% inpatient orthopedic coverage
• Average daily patient volume: 4–10 patients
• Established orthopedic team (5 physicians)
• Additional physician support available during coverage
• EMR: Epic
• Onsite lab and imaging (X-ray available)

Clinical Scope

Orthopedic surgeons will provide comprehensive inpatient orthopedic care including consults, procedures, and surgical intervention.

Procedures and conditions include:

• Fracture management and trauma care
• Joint conditions (arthritis, bursitis, dislocations, inflammation)
• Ligament and tendon injuries
• Sports-related injuries
• Degenerative joint conditions

Specialty areas include:

• Shoulder (rotator cuff, labral tears, impingement, fractures)
• Knee (ACL/PCL tears, meniscus injuries, fractures)
• Hand & wrist (carpal tunnel, tendon injuries, fractures)
• Foot & ankle (fractures, deformities, heel pain)
• Elbow (fractures, ligament injuries, arthritis)
• Bone conditions (infections, deformities, fractures)

Qualifications

• Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon
• Active New York medical license
• Strong inpatient surgical and call experience
• Ability to cover ongoing call blocks
• Clean malpractice and background history
