Shift Details
-- Call only coverage
-- Weekend coverage: Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
-- Beeper call with 30-minute response time
-- Call ratio: 1:3
Requirements
-- Board certified in General Surgery
-- Active Indiana license or IMLC
-- ACLS, BLS, PALS certification
Required Procedures / Skills
-- Adult and Pediatric general surgery
-- Laparoscopic Surgery - Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernioplasty, Nissen Fundoplication
-- Head/neck surgery including thyroid
-- Chest wall and pleural procedures
-- Breast surgery
-- Liver surgery
Assignment Details
-- Inpatient setting
-- 5–10 patients per shift
-- 1–3 admissions
-- 85-bed hospital
-- Rounding required
-- EMR: Cerner
-- Trauma Level: 0
-- PEDs Level: 0
-- No supervision of APPs required
-- Bread and butter general surgery; not a trauma hospital
-- Mostly weekend coverage shifts beginning in April through December 2026
-- Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
